Fantastic app!

Beware the app advertises both Portuguese from Portugal and Brazil. What they don’t tell you is they use Brazilian dialect for both. They are VERY different dialects.

I have been using Mondly since January 2024. I paid for all access for a year’s subscription on January 9, 2025 for $47.99. In the French language there are basically two sections. The daily lesson and 38 modules which cover various subjects. I had completed 15 modules and suddenly these modules were behind a pay wall. Mondly wants $59.00 for a premium subscription even though I have already paid $48. Customer service has not responded to my email.

Another idiotic ap that that thinks it’s best just to listen and repeat. With Greek one OF COURSE has to start with learning letters and sound’s phonetically, why else show the word in Greek. It’s all Greek to me!

I went from clueless to after 3 months I went to Germany and I was talking to everyone now I know German better than my first language danke /thank you the best app to learn any language does not need Wi-Fi for free and no adds get today

i started this app because they said that it i clouded European portuguese, but it was clearly brazilian, which i absolutely do not want… it was rated 9.7.. somebody did not test this app.. soooo disappointing… i don’t even want to play this.

Paid one time fee for premium but now I am receiving messages that my I will lose privileges in a few days.. No one responding to emails.

I thoroughly enjoy my every day lesson with Mondley! I wake up every day and spend at least five minutes learning Swedish. The sound effects make these games even more fun than they already are. It is very easy to understand the speakers, and I like the diverse methods used in each lesson to help me retain new vocabulary and all of the pronunciations which are quite different from my native language.

Mondly has been an excellent way to learn Romanian! I have tried a couple other apps and the voice interactive portion has been a game changer with Mondly. I think is a well-rounded way to learn a language. Plus there are not many apps that teach Romanian

Me agrada el curso ya que te va involucrando por etapas osea de apocos y con ejemplos parecidos, donde cambia por ejemplo los pronombres o’ el contexto, eso hace que uno lo entienda mejor y te guía para ver dónde lo puedes aplicar

I am very surprised that this app is lacking some very important features. The most important is there are no explanations whatsoever to any grammatical rules. I have paid for a lifetime subscription and I am waiting for an update in the near future. I guess you get what you pay for.

I’m enjoying using this application to learn Japanese, after years of using *that* application. It’s engaging and forces you to interact more realistically with the language, and the lessons aren’t “gamified”. It also makes you actually speak the language out loud, a feature the other app makes you pay extra for. I only have two major criticisms: 1: it does not explain the whys and wherefores of the language grammar, leaving you with no context as to why some of the linguistic mechanisms exist or how they function 2. The word recognition on the spoken lessons is frustratingly difficult on occasion, and offers no coaching on how to correctly pronounce the words, and will then accept the same pronunciation you were “incorrectly” using on other questions. Seems to be inconsistent. Despite these issues I think it’s the best in terms of retention among the various other apps I’ve tried.

Excelente aplicación con muchísimas herramientas

I have been using Mondly to help me learn Spanish. I am also using several other programs, but Mondly is my favorite. I find it very fun to use, and it makes the whole experience very pleasant. I highly recommend Mondly for your language experience.

Terrible.. not easy to use

I really like this app.But it’s not fully compatible with my iPad . Meaning,the app only works in portrait mode not landscape mode.Hopefully this function is being considered .

I’ve been trying to get a response from customer service for three days and nothing. I bought the lifetime access package through their only third party Verifone and there was no instructions for actually accessing your purchase in the app. I want my money back

Very helpful, I’ve tried other ways to learn languages and they never clicked. Mondly makes me feel like I already know it, great pacing and lessons, would recommend!

This app is tooo easy and doesn’t reflect my level. Even though I signed up as intermediate

i got the premium on sale and it was so worth it! the extensive catalogue of languages and easy to follow format and serious approach to language is very helpful. can’t wait to continue using!

Super helpful. I’d say the only downside is that the phrases are super formal.

decent app. but would rather learn one word at a time instead of phrases first. tried to receive refund after a short time on Mondly, but after 6 STILL HAVE NOT HEARD BACK, from an extremely hard to contact, CUSTOMER SERVICE. if you want to try this app, make sure to try the free trial option FIRST.

I don’t appreciate receiving a pop up after every lesson to upgrade my service. It is annoying AND I’ve already paid for what I thought was top of the line service and I don’t appreciate the feeling that I have been tricked and receiving sub par services. Thinking about canceling and getting my money back.

Varias ocasiones no se escuchan los audios de las frases

I love kindly when it comes to learning languages because you can also test your pronunciation well. The thing I wish Mondly had was more languages. I wanted to get closer to my Latin side by learning Spanish but it only got Spain Spanish, iykyk. It should be capable of having a wider set range of languages with the way it teaches.

Wonderful app, helped me become fluent in less than four months because I kept my streak. I never knew learning Spanish could come so fun and easy. Would and have recommended to friends and family. Not a waste of time, and you’ll feel good after learning. Excellent experience for most ages.

It is really frustrating that the app asks how proficient you are with a language, then starts you back at “hello” with no test for “take me to what I should learn”. Aside from that, the hands-free lesson mode is good for doing a lesson while driving. It gives you a chance to speak and be judged on enunciation and pronunciation. However, sometimes it really fixates on near homophones and just won’t accept what you said when it’s a single vocab word… just give up and tell it you’ll review it later. (Just today it refused to hear German “landen” and insisted I was saying “London”, but London with German vowels sounds completely different!)

I have had Mondly for years and while I have enjoyed using it and definitely have seen results. I had a bit of a break and coming back I'm loving the improvements. I would like to see a dedicated dictionary, Indonesian alphabet, vowels and consonants pronunciation. If it's there I missed it & apologize in advance. Otherwise, in the past I paid for the expensive ones. Mondly is worth it for me.

Wish this app were better. The app goes very slowly over small words, followed by rapid fire extremely long words. Confusing and time wasting. If there is any instruction in Greek alpha beta I can’t find it.
